Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing.
  • Conduct oral health assessments, including taking x-rays and screening for oral diseases.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using Dentrix software.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.

Qualifications:

  • Active Dental Hygienist license in Maryland.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong team player with a focus on delivering excellent patient care.
  • Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.
  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and self-motivated.

  • Monday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Thursday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM

Qualifications:

  • Current dental hygienist license and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office
  • Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
