This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational management to optimize the business performance of our supported practices.

Heartland Dental is the nation's largest dental support organization providing non-clinical, administrative support services. What started from the entrepreneurial spirit of Rick Workman, DMD, with his single dental practice, has evolved into supporting over 2,700 dentists in more than 1,800 dental offices across 39 states and Washington D.C.

This role requires extensive cross-functional collaboration with senior leaders throughout the organization and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Serve as Product Owner for insurance verification systems and lead implementation of AI-driven eligibility verification solutions
  • Drive operational excellence in revenue cycle processes, from doctor credentialing to ultimate collection
  • Optimize accounts receivable management and point-of-service collections
  • Enhance doctor onboarding experience through streamlined credentialing and accreditation processes
  • Implement and manage modern patient financial engagement platforms
  • Lead and develop RCM staff while driving productivity through automation
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Participate in strategic growth initiatives and practice integrations

Minimum Requirements

    • 5+ years experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, preferably in dental or multi-location healthcare settings
    • Strong track record of implementing technology solutions and process improvements
    • Experience managing large-scale operations and cross-functional teams
    • Knowledge of healthcare payment systems, insurance, and regulatory requirements
    • Proven ability to drive organizational change and achieve measurable results
    • Ability to travel 30%, sometimes  on short notice

Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

We put our people first at Heartland Dental, and that shows in our generous benefits package.

Company retains the sole discretion to change the duties of the position at any time.

We provide all employees and applicants for employment the protections of federal, state, and local laws affording equal opportunity in employment.
