Position Summary:

Orthodontics Dental Assistant/Administrative Support

Deerwood Orthodontics – Appleton & Green Bay, WI

Role Details:

  • Approximately 30 hours per week.

  • Appleton Office: Assisting role ONLY, Wednesdays (7:30 am - 5:30 pm) and Thursdays (7:10 am - 4:00 pm)

  • Green Bay Office: Referral Relationship Coordinator (RRC) administrative duties ONLY, primarily Mondays and Tuesdays (8:00 am - 4:00 pm), occasional Fridays as needed.

Orthodontics Dental Assistant Responsibilities (Deerwood Orthodontics-Appleton-Ballard  Location ONLY):

  • Assist orthodontist with clinical procedures.

  • Support patient care and clinical operations.

  • Prepare treatment areas, sterilize instruments, and manage patient flow.

  • Take dental impressions, radiographs, and perform other orthodontic duties.

Referral Relationship Coordinator (Deerwood Orthodontics- Green Bay- Oneida Office and Deerwood Orthodontics-Appleton-Ballard):

  • Cultivate relationships with referring dental offices through consistent outreach and visits.

  • Maintain accurate records and tracking for referral offices.

  • Organize and implement referral engagement strategies.

  • Manage administrative tasks including planning visits, tracking referrals, and budgeting for activities.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Dental Assistant (new graduates encouraged to apply).

  • Orthodontic experience preferred but not required.

  • Personable, outgoing, and adept at relationship building.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Reliable transportation required for Green Bay visits.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

As an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, you will play a large role in the provision of effective and trustworthy dental services. You will also manage clinical supplies, work efficiently to maintain the supported dentist’s schedule and adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies.

As an Orthodontics, Assistant at a Heartland Dental supported office, you will organize and maintain lab equipment, take and develop X-rays and provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures to patients.
