Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM; one to two Fridays per month (this could vary)

Role Overview 

We’re seeking a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist who is experienced, patient-focused, and thrives in a team setting. The ideal candidate is a strong patient advocate with an outgoing, energetic personality and a passion for preventive care and education.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality prophylaxis, periodontal therapy (SRP), and maintenance per current standards of care
  • Conduct thorough periodontal/charting assessments and intraoral screenings (including oral cancer screenings)
  • Obtain and interpret diagnostic imaging per practice protocols
  • Deliver personalized patient education focused on prevention, home care, and treatment acceptance
  • Collaborate with dentists and assistants to coordinate comprehensive care plans
  • Maintain accurate, compliant clinical notes and documentation
  • Adhere to infection control and sterilization protocols (OSHA/CDC standards)
  • Support practice goals through schedule management, timely care, and strong communication
  • Contribute positively to team culture—reliable, flexible, and solutions‑oriented

Required Qualifications

  • Active Tennessee Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Proficiency with periodontal assessments, SRP, and preventive care standards
  • Strong patient advocacy mindset with excellent chairside communication
  • Energetic, team‑focused, and consistently professional demeanor
  • Detail-oriented documentation and familiarity with charting and digital imaging
  • Comfortable discussing treatment recommendations and promoting preventive care
  • Reliability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Local anesthesia certification (if applicable in Tennessee)
  • Experience with digital charting and imaging systems
  • Prior hygiene experience in general or periodontal practice settings

Qualifications:

  • Current dental hygienist license
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office
