Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Lake Ridge Dental Care is looking for an experienced, patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. This is a full-time role for someone who is driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a goal-driven environment where patient care and performance metrics both matter. Responsibilities

As a Dental Hygienist at Lake Ridge Dental Care, you’ll play a key role in patient care and practice growth by delivering thorough clinical care and helping patients understand their oral health needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide exceptional preventive and therapeutic hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and individualized patient education.

  • Perform periodontal assessments and complete accurate documentation, including charting and treatment notes.

  • Take and process dental radiographs and support diagnostic needs using practice technology and imaging systems.

  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, risk factors, and recommended treatment plans to support long-term health.

  • Maintain strict compliance with infection control, OSHA standards, and clinical best practices.

  • Manage time efficiently to support schedule flow while maintaining a high standard of care.

  • Collaborate with the dentist and clinical team to support patient treatment planning, practice goals, and key performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Current dental hygiene license in Virginia (or ability to obtain).

  • 2 to 3 years of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred.

  • Experience with or willingness to learn and use practice technology, including Dentrix, iTero, Smart Imaging, and Microsoft Office.

  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits and a commitment to clinical excellence.

  • Patient-focused with a positive, confident communication style and strong education skills.

  • Goal-driven and motivated, with comfort working in an environment that tracks performance metrics.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to stay on pace while delivering high-quality care.

  • Team player mindset with professionalism, reliability, and openness to feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Current dental hygienist license
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office
  • Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
