Position Summary:
Senior Manager of Analytics and Data Management
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Manager of Analytics and Data Management to lead our marketing data initiatives. This role will focus on leveraging advanced analytics to optimize marketing campaign performance, drive digital insights, and maximize ROI. The ideal candidate will excel in data visualization, dashboard creation, and robust data management practices, ensuring seamless integration and migration across key platforms.
At Heartland Dental, we provide non-clinical administrative support services to more than 3,000 supported doctors across 39 states and the District of Columbia in over 1,900 dental offices. Each Heartland Dental supported office is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Supported doctors are the leaders of their practice and retain clinical autonomy. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing Operations, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform data into actionable strategies that fuel business growth.
Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
- Marketing Analytics Leadership: Oversee deep analytics for marketing campaign performance, including A/B testing, attribution modeling, and customer journey analysis. Conduct comprehensive digital analytics to evaluate web, social media, email, and paid advertising channels, identifying trends and opportunities for optimization.
- ROI and Performance Analysis: Develop and implement frameworks for ROI analysis, forecasting marketing spend efficiency, and measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and conversion rates. Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance campaign effectiveness and resource allocation.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using PowerBI and SAP tools. Translate complex datasets into intuitive reports that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions quickly.
- Data Management and Integration: Manage data pipelines and integrations, with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Lead efforts in integrating and migrating data to Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Team Management and Collaboration: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Partner with marketing, IT, and finance teams to align data strategies with business objectives.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement best practices for data governance, quality assurance, and automation. Utilize analytical tools to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends in marketing analytics, emerging technologies, and tools to recommend and adopt new methodologies that enhance data capabilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing analytics, data management, or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven track record in handling large-scale marketing datasets and leading analytics projects from inception to execution.
- Advanced skills in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation; familiarity with other analytical code bases such as R or Scala is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with PowerBI for dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Expertise with SAP HANA, particularly for reporting and analytics.
- Demonstrated experience with GCP for cloud-based data management, including BigQuery.
- Proven ability in integrating data platforms and migrating data to/from Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a deep understanding of statistical methods, machine learning basics, and predictive modeling applied to marketing contexts.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present complex insights to non-technical audiences. Detail-oriented, with a passion for data integrity and ethical practices.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of AI-driven analytics or automation in marketing.
- Certification in relevant areas, such as Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator, or similar.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira.
