Dental Hygienist – Full Time

Dental Care of Fuquay-Varina – Fuquay-Varina, NC

Schedule:

  • Monday: 7:45am–5:00pm
  • Tuesday: 6:45am–4:00pm
  • Wednesday: 7:45am–5:00pm
  • Thursday: 7:45am–5:00pm

We are excited to welcome a Full-Time Dental Hygienist to our collaborative and growing team at Dental Care of Fuquay-Varina. Our office is known for its nurturing, positive, and welcoming environment—and we’re looking for someone who shares those values. New graduates are encouraged to apply!

  • Patience & Composure – maintaining calm, positive interactions
  • Dentrix experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality dental hygiene care including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and oral health education
  • Review and update medical histories and maintain accurate patient records
  • Take digital radiographs and assist with diagnostic procedures
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene habits, periodontal health, and preventive care
  • Collaborate closely with the dentist and clinical team to create a seamless patient experience
  • Maintain a safe, sterile, and compliant clinical environment
  • Build trust through a gentle approach and excellent chairside manner

Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina Dental Hygiene License (or in process for new grads)
  • Strong interpersonal and patient-care skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a team
  • Experience with Dentrix is a plus, but not required
  • Passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health

Qualifications:

  • Current dental hygienist license
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office
  • Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
