Dental Hygienist (Part-Time) – Your Raleigh Dentist | Raleigh, NC

 

Schedule:

  • Monday & Tuesday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
  • Optional 3rd Day: Flexible based on candidate preference
    Experience: 1+ year preferred, new grads welcome
    Location: Raleigh, NC

Your Raleigh Dentist is growing, and we are excited to add a part-time Dental Hygienist to our patient-centered, tight‑knit team! If you are goal-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love making meaningful connections with patients, we would love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care, including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, radiographs, and oral health education
  • Deliver a high‑quality, patient‑focused hygiene experience that supports practice goals
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical notes and documentation
  • Utilize strong time‑management skills to stay efficient in a fast-paced schedule
  • Collaborate with the doctor and team to ensure seamless patient flow and outstanding service
  • Support practice growth by educating patients, promoting treatment plans, and contributing to a positive environment
  • Maintain infection control standards and uphold all practice protocols

Requirements

  • Active North Carolina Dental Hygiene license (or in process for new grads)
  • 1 year of clinical experience preferred, but we are open to new graduates with the right attitude and drive
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Positive, self‑starting personality with a team-first approach
  • Experience with Dentrix, Dexis, and iTero is a plus—but not required

Qualifications:

  • Current dental hygienist license
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office
  • Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
