Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: Covel, Stack & Henon, DDS – Vienna, VA

 

Covel, Stack & Henon, DDS is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team‑focused Full‑Time Dental Hygienist to join our established private practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician or a new graduate looking to grow in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality preventive dental care, including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, radiographs, and patient education
  • Build trust and rapport with patients to support long‑term oral health
  • Maintain accurate, detailed clinical records and charting
  • Collaborate closely with doctors and team members to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and periodontal health in a clear and compassionate manner
  • Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection‑control protocols
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
  • Contribute positively to a supportive, teamwork‑driven practice atmosphere

Qualifications

  • Active Dental Hygiene license in the state of Virginia
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented, and committed to delivering excellent clinical care
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment
  • Dentrix experience preferred but not required
  • New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply

Qualifications:

  • Current dental hygienist license
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office
  • Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
