Director of Operations Training (Education)

The Director of Operations Training will work with training developers, technical trainers, subject matter experts and course owners, in alignment with the Senior Director Clinical Education Learning Support Services and the Senior VP of Clinical Operations. Through these partnerships, this role will support the initial development, management, and implementation of key education projects and initiatives for all levels of operations support teams to deliver a world-class and scalable professional development program.

To give you an idea of the team structure, this position will report to the VP of Ops, Education and Support Services, maintain a strong partnership with the Senior Director Clinical Education Learning Support Services, and work alongside a team of course developers, trainers and program managers.
Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
- Guiding and coaching the members of the Operations, Communications, and Leadership Training Teams with a wide variety of course management matters related to maintaining the integrity of Heartland Dental systems, vision and mission, and core values
- Ensuring alignment between both the Operations Training focuses and the Clinical training focuses
- Maintaining and developing industry contacts and industry relationships
- Partnering with leaders in Operations to identify immediate needs and provide support resources and plan for future training needs based on growth and infrastructure
- Partnering with course developers and supervisors to set curriculum and perform regular analysis of course ROI and provide insight/expertise through partnership with the course owners to adjust and elevate
- Collaborating with other support office departments to integrate systems and technology (Ex: Marketing, IT, Education, BI)
- Presenting to executives and other support office departments with confidence and clarity.
- Managing and communicating company-wide large-scale projects associated with the Operations Training Team
- Budgeting for resources needed to execute all educational offerings
- Staying abreast of changes in the industry and to the needs of the learner to be THE educational leader in dentistry
- Other projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of one of the following:
- Five years of progressive management experience at company similarly sized to Heartland Dental, LLC; or
- A Master’s degree in Education with a minimum of three years of relevant management experience.
- Practical knowledge of business, leadership, course development and adult-learning concepts
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to answer telephone calls and communicate information to callers
- Ability to interact with co-workers in a collegial manner to accomplish common tasks
- High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment
- Ability to travel multiple times per month on short notice
Desirable Qualifications:
- Adult learning and management experience in a corporation of at least 10,000 employees
- Experience with course development within the healthcare profession
- Experience working with complex business decisions that affect multiple levels and departments
- Experience with working with senior leadership team members and management
Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
