About This Office

Dental Hygienist (Part-Time)

Greer Family Dental Care | Greer, South Carolina

Greer Family Dental Care is looking to welcome a part-time Dental Hygienist to our growing team! We’re open to both experienced hygienists and new graduates who are excited to learn, collaborate, and grow within a supportive, team-focused practice.

Schedule:

  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
    (Office closes at 5:00 PM; hygiene day concludes once notes and operatory clean-up are complete)

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality preventative dental care, including adult and pediatric prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and patient education
  • Accurately document clinical findings, treatment, and notes in the patient record
  • Take and process dental radiographs as needed
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and overall dental wellness
  • Work collaboratively with doctors and team members to support clinical goals and patient experience
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient operatory
  • Follow all clinical protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines

Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina Dental Hygiene license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
  • Prior clinical experience is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with Dentrix is preferred but not required
  • Nitrous Oxide certification is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset
  • Desire to grow, learn, and contribute to a rebuilding and goal-driven practice

Qualifications:

  • Current dental hygienist license
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office
  • Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
