Full-Time (Part-Time Candidates Also Considered)

Smile Design New Port Richey is looking for a motivated, team‑oriented Dental Hygienist to join our growing practice. This is a full-time opportunity, but we are also open to part-time candidates who are the right fit for our team. We’re seeking someone with 2–3 years of experience who values collaboration, patient care, and being part of a fun, supportive office culture.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional preventive and periodontal care, including cleanings, exams support, and patient education
  • Take digital X-rays and intraoral scans using iTero technology
  • Accurately document clinical findings and treatment notes in Dentrix
  • Educate patients on oral health, hygiene techniques, and long-term care
  • Assist the doctor with exams and treatment planning as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized operatory and follow all infection control and safety protocols
  • Work collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, and support staff to ensure smooth daily flow
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused work environment

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Dental Hygienist license in good standing
  • 2–3 years of dental hygiene experience required
  • Experience with Dentrix practice management software
  • Experience using iTero scanners
  • Strong clinical, communication, and patient education skills
  • Reliable, professional, and a true team player
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support the team as a whole

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office
