Are you a technology professional seeking a challenging career working for a market leader in a rapidly growing industry? Heartland Dental is seeking an experienced and adaptable Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (GCP) to join our Technology Transformation organization. This role focuses on designing, building, securing, and operating a cloud-native platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), enabling application teams to deploy and scale services through modern, automated, and reliable infrastructure. In this role, you will partner closely with application developers, architects, and operations teams to enable cloud-native delivery, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure-as-code–driven provisioning. Heartland Dental is the nation's largest dental support organization, providing non-clinical administrative support services to more than 3,000 supported doctors across 39 states and the District of Columbia in 1,900+ dental offices. Each Heartland Dental supported office is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Supported doctors are the clinical leaders of their practice, retain full clinical autonomy, and establish their own care philosophies. All Heartland Dental supported doctors are united by a common goal: delivering the highest quality dental care and patient experiences.

- Partner with Infrastructure Systems and Networking on architectural changes to our shared VPC
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational visibility using native GCP tooling
- Manage identity, access, and security controls using IAM and least privilege best practices
- Support modernization and migration of legacy workloads
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and runtime issues across environments
- Partner with leadership in hardening the platform through organization policies and other best practices
- Assist in defining and tracking KPIs related to reliability, deployment frequency, and operational efficiency
- Promote a culture of automation, resilience, and continuous improvement

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently diagnose infrastructure and deployment issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
