Position Summary:

Supplies & Equipment Compliance Specialist

 

We are seeking a highly organized, solution-oriented individual to manage compliance related to the purchasing and maintenance of dental equipment, products and services for Heartland Dental, the #1 commercial consumer of dental supplies & equipment in the country. The Clinical Equipment Compliance Manager is responsible for managing/maintaining compliance with all federal, state and local regulations related to dental equipment for 1700+ dental offices across the country.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

  • Ensure supported dental locations are compliant with federal, state and local regulations related to dental equipment; including but not limited to:
    • Registrations & Renewals for X-rays, Lasers, and CBCTs
    • Biomedical Waste Permits
    • Amalgam Separator Compliance Program
    • Radiation Compliance
  • Identify, develop and manage third party compliance suppliers in states where dedicated support is required; optimizing support while continuing to drive down costs.
  • Create and update existing training materials and programs related to equipment maintenance and compliance for supported offices and teams.
  • Coordinate clinical equipment purchases distributed as part of Heartland Dental supported educational courses; creating and distributing compliance binders, where required.
  • Organize activities across departments related to regulatory inspections and requests for documentation/information (which tend to be unexpected, high-urgency situations).
  • Document solutions into a shared knowledgebase to improve support and consistency in responses for supported offices
  • Partner with Operations to provide elevated frontline support to dental offices and teams with the Strategic Sourcing of trusted clinical supplies, labs and equipment (inclusive of large group affiliations)
  • Support Strategic Sourcing function via RFP/competitive event support and in implementation of new contracts in directly owned categories

Minimum Requirements:

* Must be in the office 2 to three days a week.

* Must reside within: St. Louis, MO or Indianapolis, IN or Effingham, IL metro areas.

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least three (3) years of compliance or dental customer service experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Visio, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with co-workers in a collegial manner to accomplish common tasks
  • High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks in a timely and responsive manner

Desirable Qualifications:

Dental compliance experience
