Position Summary:

The Analyst is a critical team member on the Affiliations (acquisitions) team supporting the growth and development of Heartland Dental. This individual will help support the broader Affiliations team’s M&A goals, specifically single office and small group acquisitions. This person is responsible for financial and business analysis and evaluation of M&A opportunities. The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in the transaction process by: partnering with internal stakeholders to drive transactions from inception to close; collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; and facilitating necessary closing documentation. The candidate should have the ability to work independently to research, analyze, synthesize, and present qualitative and quantitative concepts clearly.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
- Perform financial modeling and financial statement analysis of acquisition targets using raw data provided by sellers
- Leads the financial review process and partners with internal teams to streamline the financial process while ensuring consistency and accuracy
- Manipulates and analyzes large datasets in excel to drive business insights for stakeholders
- Supports business owners and other leaders with ad hoc analysis and strategic projects
- Collaborate with internal teams and external sales representatives to provide comprehensive support throughout the entire deal process
- Facilitate efficient deal closing and coordinate with operations and integration teams for smooth practice transitions
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two+ years of experience or six + years related experience
- Experience using excel to manipulate and analyze data, preferably in an Accounting or Finance context
Ability to travel once a quarter.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to collaborate across departments in order to drive initiatives forward
- Work well within a team as we are focused on winning together
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve goals
- Ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders
- High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment
- Prior healthcare experience is preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
