Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Root Cause Analysis: Systematically identify, investigate, and address the underlying causes of problems within revenue cycle processes.
  • Data Collection: Gather relevant data from various sources to understand the problem.
  • Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations to understand the contributing factors and how they interrelate.
  • Data Analysis: Use analytical tools and techniques to analyze data and identify patterns that point to root causes.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to address root causes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present findings to relevant stakeholders, providing actionable insights to improve processes.
  • Collaboration: Work with different departments and stakeholders to implement solutions and monitor their effectiveness.
  • The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Three or more years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in reallocating payments to procedure.
  • Capable of identifying, managing, and correcting complex process issues and data discrepancies.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain and interpret concepts within my area of expertise.
  • Practical knowledge of Dental or Medical Insurance and/or Accounts Receivable.
  • Skilled at prioritizing multiple tasks, with a strong understanding of various products and the different levels of benefits associated with each project.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills, solutions-oriented.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while working independently and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Practical knowledge of consumer financing.
  • Strategic thinker who is comfortable making decisions.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • A degree in data science, statistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • knowledge of revenue cycle or accounts receivable
  • Solid understanding of how to reallocate payments to procedures.
  • Experience with insurance billing and/or collecting past due balances, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of a variety of hospital, physician, and/or dental billing systems.
  • Knowledge of a variety of insurance online systems as well as online status/eligibility inquiry sites.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
