Position Summary:

HRIS Coordinator, HRIS Business Support Department

 

The HRIS Coordinator will be a member of the HRIS Business Support team. The HRIS Coordinator serves as a Tier 1 & 2 contact for Company team members providing in-depth support related to human capital policy and procedure. The Specialist will handle a variety of employee life cycle data management transactions and will have working knowledge of Payroll and Human Resources operations, and associated transactions. A successful HRIS Support Specialist will act as employee champion, advocate, and change agent.

To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work on a team with 3 other HRIS Support Specialists, reporting to the HRIS Business Support Manager.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Utilize internal case management tracking systems to track and resolve Tier I team member inquiries, ensuring resolution within established Service Level Agreements (SLA). Analyze and escalate more complex payroll issues to Tier 2
  • Provide solutions to process issues that occur (cancelling, rescinding, walking users through any UltiPro® transaction issues that occur)
  • Resolve unusual requests that require a customized response; communicate solution or requested information to the customer
  • Reference department policies and procedures to ensure accuracy of response and to provide all available information to customers
  • Provide data entry support when employees are unable to complete activities through the self-service portal (i.e. deposit enrollment, life events, general deductions, new hire benefits enrollment and personal data changes)
  • Partner with Payroll, Employee Relations, Total Rewards and other departments to resolve issues
  • Process transactions by collecting required information or back-up documentation from the customer
  • Review onboarding data and resolve identified discrepancies
  • This position will support the HRIS and users of the system in other processes such as license management, personal employee information, Perform Review, and distribution of department surveys

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years of Payroll or Human Resources experience primarily in a non-exempt environment. Call center environment strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy; this includes the ability to speak and write clearly to deliver customer service excellence over the phone and through e-mail
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and remain flexible and change pace with workflow demands
  • Exhibits teamwork and a collaborative work ethic with colleagues
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn, implement new processes and work independently
  • Empathetic and confident phone presence
  • Attention to detail. Working knowledge of HR process and procedures.
  • Effective research and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and utilizing HRIS systems
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and employee privacy

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years experience in a human resource information system (HRIS) is preferred.
  • Experience processing employment transactions in UltiPro is a plus.
  • Experience working with complex processes and systems in a human resources environment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of database structure and data warehousing is highly beneficial.
