We specialize in supporting the Field Operations team with newly supported affiliated Dentist(s) and team members, to ensure their transition as smooth and seamless as possible. Affiliating new supported offices into the Heartland Dental family by nature can be complex with a lot of moving pieces and we are looking for those who want to be part of this exciting opportunity.
Heartland Dental is the nation's largest dental support organization, providing non-clinical administrative support services to more than 3,000 supported doctors across 39 states and the District of Columbia in over 1,800 dental offices. Each Heartland Dental support office is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Supported doctors are the leaders of their practice and retain clinical autonomy. All Heartland Dental supported Doctors are united by a common goal: delivering the highest quality dental care and experiences to the communities they serve.
This is a full-time position that would report to a Manager on the Affiliation Integration (AI) team with opportunities for mentoring and coaching from the Affiliation Integration leadership team.
Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities in this role:
- Primary focus is to serve as a liaison between the Field Operations team and Support Office during the integration process of newly supported offices
- Work in partnership with the Field Operations team to support a smooth integration process and ensure the office continues to achieve patient care goals.
- Prepare for AO with regional support and the Field Operations team
- Partner with PMO and the doctor(s) to attain acceptance of training needs and implement appropriate systems to facilitate doctor(s) and team members accomplishing their goals and improving their job skills
- Observe and guide business team members on Accounts Receivable (AR) guidelines and best practices to improve accuracy and AR collection rates
- Analyze new patient flow in collaboration with supported doctor(s) and Field operations team, to determine an effective marketing strategy to increase new patient flow
- Provide hands-on training with doctor(s) and team members to navigate HD Intranet
- Provide hands-on training with business assistant(s) on Heartland Dental processes, systems and guidelines, as well a coaching and guiding team members on communication skills
- Evaluate, engage, and support doctor(s) and team members to ensure they are working congruently and efficiently with the Field Operations team while maintaining trust and alignment within the region
- Build relationships and establish and retain trust with supported doctor(s) and team members
- Always demonstrate Heartland Dental positive philosophy while embracing patient advocacy, servant leadership and world-class customer service
- Participate in an active role with special projects when assigned
- Report on weekly and monthly office metrics to provide feedback to AIM on additional opportunities for affiliations
- Be present and participate at all AI team meetings
- Proficient in computer systems and the ability to work with word processing, data management, and data analysis programs
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must reside within 20-30 miles of a major airport.
- Minimum of two years in a Heartland supported dental office or Support Office; or three years’ experience in a management position within another Dental Service Organization and/or work in the capacity as a dental consultant
- Extensive travel is a requirement; 4 – 5 days per week with overnight stay required, sometimes on short notice
- Demonstrate a high level business acumen, autonomy and self-discipline
- Working knowledge to read, extract and decipher monthly financial reporting
- High level of maturity, personal initiative, sound judgment
- Confident and skilled public speaker
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
