No, you’ll receive a base the full duration of your time employed with a Heartland Dental supported practice. You deserve the financial security and peace of mind that comes with a regular, reliable paycheck.

True to our doctor-led culture and support model, you retain control over how much you get paid based on your own financial goals and your own productivity. All supported doctors are guaranteed a minimum 25% of personal collections. However, your exact percentage of collections will depend on several factors, including your base salary, office profitability, and other incremental bonuses. On average, supported doctors earn 32% of collections – with the top quartile of doctors earning 36% or more.

What’s more, those collections come from a broad range of services and above-industry average fees. Meaning 32% of collections from a Heartland supported practice may well be higher than 35% somewhere else. Heartland Dental supported practices support a lifetime care model rather than episodic care. This “Super GP” model means supported doctors aren’t required to refer patients to specialists. Instead, you’re given access to training that will help you hone your craft and advance clinical skills in areas like surgical extractions, sedation, clear aligner therapy, endodontics, aesthetic dentistry, implants, and more. Supported doctors also benefit from an increased focus on patient care management, streamlined costs, and the help of Heartland Dental’s best-in-class payor negotiation team.

Continuing education and lab costs factor into the office P&L. So, while they do factor into office profitability, they are not deducted from a supported doctor’s personal collections. Supported practices actively work to keep costs low to benefit the office bottom-line. Education courses cost a fraction of third-party offered CE.
