Position Summary:

Data Integration Engineer, Accounting & Finance Department BI Team

You will be part of a group that is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and administering an SAP Business Intelligence analytics-reporting tool.

To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work on a team of professionals dedicated to developing enterprise-wide data engineering solutions used to enhance day-to-day operations, reporting to our AF Manager of Enterprise Data Engineering & Integration.

As a Data Integration Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Build extensible data acquisition and integration solutions to meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the business
  • Implement processes and logic to extract, transform, and distribute data across one or more data stores from a wide variety of sources
  • Optimize current data integration processes to provide optimal performance under increasing data volumes
  • Develop and document the data audit, archiving, and restoration processes
  • Develop data integration standards according to Heartland Dental’s information services policies as well as best practices
  • Work closely with the Data Engineering team, Business Users, to provide data pipelines that enable business intelligence.
  • Convert physical data integration models and other design specifications to source codes
  • Perform daily monitoring of data loads into and out of various systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as it relates to errors in daily data feeds

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be in office three days a week.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field and/or relevant work experience
  • Well versed in SQL, and SQL based stored procedures
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, Groovy, or Node.js
  • Understanding of cloud computing platforms, security, tools, and methodologies such as GCP or Azure
  • Experience with data integration tools and understanding of key ELT/ETL concepts
  • Understanding of flow graphs, SQL procedures, job scheduling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – ability to identify discrepancies, perform research therein, and work toward resolution
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple deliverables simultaneously in a deadline driven environment

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Understanding of SAP BTP cloud platform and its key services
  • Experience with Enterprise Data Integration Platforms such as Informatica or SAP Integration Suite
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
