Position Summary:

SAP Incentive Management Junior Developer, Accounting & Finance Department

Over the last four years, our accounting department has seen rapid growth, and we are not done growing! With even more development anticipated over the next three to five years, we are adding to our team of dedicated and hardworking individuals. You will be part of a group that is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and administering components within our SAP Incentive Management system within the Accounting and Finance department.

As an SAP Incentive Management Junior Developer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Create and modify existing SQL statements within our current SAP suite of applications
  • Work alongside Senior Developers, virtually, to design and implement comprehensive solutions based on business requirements
  • Implement solution components based on designs provided by Senior Developers, supporting broader project objectives
  • Partner with other teams inside of Accounting and Finance to enhance efficiency and accuracy of Heartland’s compensation systems
  • Troubleshoot existing code, workflows, and/or SQL related statements in our Development and Production environments
  • Identify test scenarios, execute unit testing, and document results
  • Assist in migrating configurations from lower environments to Production
  • Assist with developing and provide support for system integration testing and user acceptance testing
  • Prepare or enhance documentation of new and existing processes, user guides, system design documents as needed
  • Learn and support multiple workstreams around bonus programs and the SAP Incentive Management system
  • Support the team by maintaining recurring operational activities, enabling Senior Developers to focus on higher-level tasks

Minimum Requirements:

  • Development experience (any platform/any language) - 1 + years
  • Remote-work experience – 1 + years
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Able to analyze problems and datasets to quickly identify and implement solutions
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong computer skills focused on Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Interested in being an involved team member
  • Able to work independently, is highly motivated, and takes initiative on new tasks

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Understanding of SAP HANA Database  
  • Strong SQL experience
  • Coding/Development experience with multiple languages (Java, Javascript, and/or GROOVY preferred)
  • Experience with SaaS/PaaS product(s)
  • Experience with File Transfer Protocols and data integration processes
  • Experience with analytical/trend reporting
  • Experience in documenting and defining code and development practices

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
