Join a growing team of designers responsible for the conceptualization and creation of a variety of marketing materials for over 1,600 supported dental practices. We are looking for a talented, committed, and highly collaborative designer who can own a project from start to finish. The ability to conceptualize under stress, in a fast-paced, fluid environment is crucial to success in this position. The right candidate will be a positive energy individual who enjoys problem-solving and embraces new challenges.

Heartland Dental is the nation's largest dental support organization, providing non-clinical administrative support services to more than 3,000 supported doctors across 39 states and the District of Columbia in over 1,800 dental offices. Each Heartland Dental supported office is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Supported doctors are the leaders of their practice and retain clinical autonomy. To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work on a team with [describe immediate working group] and support a group of Marketing Strategists, reporting to the Design Manager.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Conceptualize and create high-quality, deadline-driven patient-facing marketing collateral for our supported dental offices and operations.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create original content for supported offices while adhering to budgets and deadlines.
  • Evaluate, forecast time allotments, and prioritize jobs in accordance with workload and project deadlines.
  • Use client interviews and individual research to create meaningful digital and print design solutions.
  • Prepare artwork for print production, digital display, etc.
  • Partner with our field marketing teams to promote consistency in branding and messaging across all channels.
  • Ensure marketing material is compliant with state regulations.
  • Consistently enhance product quality by adhering to established systems within your designated scope of responsibility.
  • Facilitate the recognition of opportunities for process and efficiency enhancements, and actively participate in coordinating and implementing solutions within the team.
  • Troubleshoot digital production issues across creative mediums.
  • Agile, flexible, and used to quick demands.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design/visual communication or a minimum of two years’ experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrate a strong foundation of visual communication and typographic principles.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign is a must. Broad knowledge of print production or prepress is helpful.
  • Experience working in a Mac-based workflow environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. 
  • Display great mental flexibility as the workload may fluctuate unexpectedly. Candidates should excel under pressure and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Work autonomously with a self-starting and self-directed approach.
  • Deadlines may require working extra hours from time to time.
  • High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment.
  • Execute job duties respectfully and autonomously, promoting a positive image of our team and Heartland Dental as a whole.
  • Committed to growing personally and professionally.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to Effingham, Illinois.
